Ketan Makwana

Self made serial entrepreneur Ketan Makwana started up a series of businesses focussing on marketing, branding, growth management and start-ups. Ketan is passionate about business and development of young people in both employability and enterprise.

Ketan started up SMARK-IT in 2009 as a model to support aspiring entrepreneurs and fledgling businesses succeed during the heavy recession. With a background in healthcare Ketan went on to develop The Medical Marketing Consultancy and Medzooma.com which are both international agencies supporting niche healthcare brands.

Ketan is dedicated to development of young people and enterprise and through Enterprise Lab offers student employability and youth enterprise mentoring, programming and business advice.

Ketan has an aspiration to create a stable platform of consistent and sustained programming and service to help young people achieve their dreams.

Naomi Timperley

Dragons’ Den survivor and successful Manchester businesswoman, Naomi Timperley is the UK Director of Baby Loves Disco a national events company. Naomi developed this business organically using word of mouth, grass roots marketing and PR; Naomi is an advocate these mediums for small businesses and Start-ups.

Having turned down an offer from Deborah Meaden on Dragons’ Den, Naomi has enjoyed huge success in her own right since appearing on the show and is now a speaker, mentor, business advisor for SIFE at Salford University and volunteer for Youth Enterprise North West.

Naomi is also a Social Media consultant with Social Media Boom; Naomi works closely with the Business Innovation and Skills council in delivering more young female entrepreneurs in the UK.

Sabian Muhammad

Sabian is a 2010 Future 100 “Future Young Entrepreneur” winner with a keen interest in youth affairs including, business, family and education.

Sabian is the brain behind O2’s ‘WhyDo’ campaign an idea designed to help bridge the generation gap by getting adults and young people talking which engaged over 250,000 adults during its 8 week run.  Sabian now sits on LOCOG’s London 2012 Youth Panel and the Advisory Board for London 2012 Legacy project Somewhereto.

Sabian has worked closely with government ministers on changes to Youth Policy, Education and Enterprise and has written the recent discussion paper which is available on the Department for Education website.

Sabian is equally passionate about the community and is the director of Youth Engagements for the international community engagement organisation Peacekeepers. Sabian believe that is order for young people to fulfil their roles as the upholders of the future societies they need to be empowered – academically, socially and economically.
